I’m not sure what the other comment means, but this program has already seen a lot of success here in our area. We have over 85 participants and on April 23rd we will be holding our 7th crime prevention conference since the program was implemented in our area in 2010. The April 23rd conference will be held at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. This training is for California and Nevada property managers and owners who wish to attend and receive their Phase I Certifications. Mr. Zehring will be here once again to share the benefits of the program and why it is beneficial to property managers. There’s more to just saying no to someone, it’s more about knowing how to say no, what to look for, the partnership we form with law enforcement and other entities and networking with a group of people who have the same goal “Keeping Illegal Activity Out of Rental Properties” and OUR community! As a participating property in this program we have seen first hand how it works. Our property was once known as the “Ghetto in the Meadow”, but now we have wonderful residents and have seen very little to no calls for law enforcement on our property. The tools the program provides to us has helped tremendously. This once crime ridden property is now filled with amazing residents who respect each other and enjoy living here. We have the support of Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and also have several law enforcement personnel living on our property. That’s success!
