Running on the Tahoe Rim Trail.
Hot springs. There are a lot of primitive hot springs to enjoy throughout the state of Nevada. The Tourism Bureau should start promoting them as a unique feature of Nevada’s open space/outdoor recreation.
There are SO many awesome places in Nevada how can you choose just one? The top of Heavenly, looking at the lake to the left and down at the valley to the right?
Great Basin National Park, absolutely beautiful.
Wilson Canyon, atv riding out to the desert to find old ghost towns.
Red Rock Canyon, 15 minutes outside Las Vegas! Gorgeous!
The Sweetwaters! One of the prettiest places I’ve ever been.
Shall I continue?
Red Rock in Vegas.
The east shore of Tahoe! If you have a boat, start trolling out from Ski Run Marina with bow pointed north. Follow along the shoreline past Edgewood, Nevada Beach (a Great dog friendly Campground), Zephyr Cove, Glenbrook, and on up to Skunk Harbor. If you can afford the gas (and time) head up to Sand Harbor and maybe go as far as Crystal Bay.
For something entirely different there’s Virginia City. I know it’s kind of a tourist trap but it is fun. There is a newer hotel(also dog friendly) which is nice and just a short walk down the hill from the main street. We saw “Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks” at Pipers Opera House and more recently “It’s A beautiful Day” at the Red Dog Saloon. A very memorable couple of shows! Looking forward to riding the antique steam locomotive from Carson City To Virginia City.
Take care, Old Long Skiis
