Moments after the Bank of America in South Lake Tahoe opened Monday morning it was robbed.

A suspect entered the branch at 3344 Lake Tahoe Blvd. just after 9am April 16 and demanded cash from a teller. No weapon was seen.

Officers are not releasing how much money the suspect got away with.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-fee-11, medium build, between 50- and 60-years-old, and clean shaven.

If anyone has information, call (530) 542.6100.

Is it just me, or do we seem to have more bank robberies here on the South Shore per capita than any place you’ve ever heard about? Usually weapons seem not to be involved either. Part of the reason could be that we are a drive thru town (many travelers passing thru on their way to somewhere else).

Who is more of a thief? This poor, desperate guy.. or B of A?

Wonder if you’ll still call him a “poor, desperate guy” when he pulls a gun on YOU and wants YOUR wallet?
How is THIS even remotely justifiable?
Remember the old saw from your childhood? Two wrongs don’t make a right?

Smedley, you fail to realize that the “poor desperate guy” thief will have no real longevity cause he’s a rank amateur! B of A as a thief has tried and true practices, with a proven track record! The main difference between the two is that people do business (or “get robbed” as some might see it) with B of A of their own free choice. On the other hand, the teller that is handed the note or shown a gun is never given the opportunity to make a choice in the situation.

“no weapon was seen”… wrong again

  6. dogwoman says - Posted: April 16, 2012

NOT wrong. I never said a weapon was involved in this robbery. I said will you still feel such sympathy when he pulls a gun on YOU?
Instead of making assumptions about other people’s thoughts, maybe you should clear your own.

“Clear My thoughts?” Scientology Too? No wonder you’re so twisted/republicon.

Oh please. I’m a Christian. But right now I’m thinking very un-Christian thoughts about you.

I’m glad you don’t like me. That was my intention, invisible cloud being believers tend to be the most easily manipulated.

Is this really necessary? Maybe you two would like each others email address so you can take it offline.

Dogwoman— Don’t let Smedley get to you. He is insulting the legacy of his namesake in his discussions with you.

I find it amazing that Smedley manages to make just about any news story take a serious political turn.
