Elementary track meet at STMS in June

The 8th edition of the South Shore 4-5 Elementary Track & Field Classic is June 5 at at South Tahoe Middle School.

This meet will include girls and boys from throughout the region.

In 2011 more than 500 parents and friends witnessed 400 student-athletes compete, with seven meet records broken.

The event is from 4-8pm. The cost is $4 for adults and free to kids.

    I would like to add that this event is also a fund raiser for the S Lake Tahoe Optimist Club. The SLT Optimist Club will be assisting in running / timing for the event. We will also be on site to sell hamburgers / veggie burgers / hotdogs / snow cones and more. All funds raised by the SLT Optimist Club are returned to the community on forms of donations to local youth organization. Please come out Tuesday to cheer for your favorite speedster and help us help the youth of our community.
