Topaz Fire 100% contained
Cooler weather helped fire crews completely contain the Topaz Ranch Estates Fire, that consumed 7,500 acres south of Gardnerville.
The fire will be monitored over the next few days to ensure that the fire perimeter remains extinguished. Smoke may be visible from the fire area, as islands of green fuels may continue to burn out.
No injuries have been reported.
The cost for fighting the fire to date is estimated to be $3.4 million.
