    Speaking of crime and shootings, does anyone know what occurred when there were gunshots and cops on Bonanza Avenue near B street last Wednesday night?

    yep. a LONG HOT SUMMER for sure. 3 shootings, a murder-suicide, couple of stabbings…how’s that ‘tahoesouth marketing campaign’ working for ya, south lake tahoe? Referring to the city’s website regarding ‘nightlife’; i thought a ‘thang’ was a body part, not a knife or a gun.
    @my neighborhood-i saw a snippet on the tribunes website(you know…’the community’s voice from america’s playground[sneer]).’

    yeah, i could add drug overdoses too, and kamikaze motorcyclists, but they don’t get covered by the press….might embarrass a town that thinks so highly of itself…a town without sidewalks, and no homeless shelter-but plenty of homeless, but with a great marketing plan. a town curiously lacking a true community ‘feel.’
