Four people have applied for the vacancy on the Lake Tahoe Unified School District board.

They are Barbara Bannar (former board member, homemaker), Kathy Haven (educator/small business owner), Cathy Giardina (business owner/bookkeeper), and Heather Clelan (property manager).

Interviews will be at the Aug. 7 board meeting. The remaining four members choose the member. Meetings are at that district office, and start at 6pm. The board member will be sworn in Aug. 21. The term runs until December 2013.

The vacancy was created when Judy Cefalu abruptly left without much reason.
