Protect kids from guns with free safety kit
Truckee Police Department has received a new supply of gun safety kits thanks to a grant from Project ChildSafe.
The kits include a cable-style gun locking device, lock installment instructions and a safety booklet.
The safety kits are available for free and can be picked up Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Truckee Police Department lobby located at 10183 Truckee Airport Road.
You shouldn’t need taxpayer money to keep your gun secure from your child.
A house free of guns is the most secure environment for my kids!
Biggerpicture, my house has a safe and the ammo locked separately from the guns. How can your home be safer than that? More importantly my kids are learning about guns so that when they do see someone with a gun they will know if the person is being responsible or not.
“How can your home be safer than that?”
In MY world, a home sans guns. Not judging you for YOUR actions, I just don’t dig guns.
John, sounds like you are doing it right by CA law. I might not agree with CA law but I don’t have kids at home.
biggerpicture, I respect your right to not want guns in your home as long as you don’t attempt to impose your beliefs on those of us who disagree.
