Slain woman filed earlier restraining order

A few dollars for alcohol may be the reason a South Lake Tahoe woman was murdered in front of her two-and-a-half-year-old son last week. Court documents obtained by News 4 mention that possible motive and the fact the victim predicted this terrible crime would happen years before.
Lyra Fisher Bomediano filed a request for a restraining order against the police suspect in her murder – her husband – in court in 2007 writing quote: “he strangled me by putting his both hands on my neck real tight, I can’t breathe and almost died.”
Lyra wrote their main reason for fighting was financial and especially when she’d refuse to give him money for alcohol. She went on to say quote: “he will seriously hurt me and end up taking my life.”
This is yet another sad example of why restraining orders aren’t worth the paper they are written on. I’m sure her family & young son feel it was very effective at stopping this vicious person. Ms. Bomediano apparently knew it wouldn’t be.
