Ride the Tahoe Queen.

Have the kids bungee jump at Ski Run Marina beach
Climb a rock wall
Visit some bronze and wood sculptures at Ski Run Marina.
There is one hour of free parking.
took a friend visiting from michigan for a hike at the van sickle bi-state park-twas a hit!
On Woodwind II, out of Zephyr Cove.
Hiking.
To any beach or the rocks that you have to walk to get to
Out on the lake! Mostly my guests want to go to Emerald Bay. After seeing the tea house and the Vikingsholm we motor up past Rubicon pt. and up to Homewood. If the wind isn’t blowing I take them to the east shore, checkin’ out the cool rock formations at Cave Rock up REAL close then head up to Skunk Harbor.
Early summer gotta go to the falls at Fallen Leaf, and the big one , Eagle Falls that spill into Emerald Bay.
Late summer, the aspen groves in Hope Valley and the one in the big meadow out on fallen leaf road.
Having summer time guests is always a little stressfull for me but I get paid back ten times when I see the looks on their faces when they say, ” My Gawd this place is beautiful!!! “. Makes it all worthwhile.
Still love this place after all these years. Take care, Old Long Skiis
Rubicon Trail to Emerald bay or kayaking from south shore to emerald bay. (Tried kayaking at nevada beach and it sucked, we could only paddle out 100 feet…blecch). AND a hike around Fallen Leaf is a birders joy plus fantabulous views of Tallac.
Depends on group but I like to take friends and visiting family to Sugar Pine Point State Park (great place to rent kayaks and SUPs), Emerald Bay down to Vikingsholm, D.L. Bliss for a hike on the Rubicon Trail.
An easy float down the Lower Truckee River (more adventurous folks we’ll take down to Coloma to raft the So.Fork American, or the experienced we’ll run the Middle Fork/tunnel chute).
Gatekeepers Museum at Fanny Bridge.
Squaw Valley for Shirley Creek waterfalls during the early summer, concerts at Squaw, and special festivals.
Commons Beach @ T.C. for the Sunday concert is always a lot of fun for everyone.
We also like to drive up to Barker Pass and take the jeep road around to the McKinney Lake/Rubicon Trail. Nice route to do some lake fishing.
Montana…it’s real, not allot commercialism!
Skies look great from this lo-cal tonight.
Beat the lake backed up with traffic, turks.
peace
The beaches and waterfalls are the best.
