The perfume the teacher wore,how good looking she was…….loved those good looking teachers that wore nice cloths smelled so sweet.

1962, Bijou Elementary and I’m starting 3rd grade . New to town and didn’t know anyone. Scary at first but I made some friends and then it was all okay.
On to the Intermediate school. By then I had friends and the girls that had “cooties” at Bijou were now “cuties!” Definetly made going to school more fun!
The next step was So. Tahoe High in 1968. Lottsa stories circulating about the seniors tormenting the freshmen.
I came away from the whole thing relatively unscathed. I didn’t get the dreaded “Tahoe Shampoo”. That was where some seniors would grab a kid, drag him into the boys restroom and stick his head in the toilet and then flush. Pretty pleasent, eh?
I always hated going back to school after summer vacation.But ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
