The choice between moving our nation forward, or taking it backward 50 years in both foreign AND domestic policies. I vote to move forward!

OBAMA BY 6-8 POINTS IN NOVEMBER!!!

If Obama wins this election, Inflation will begin and soon there will be fewer jobs and the cost of gas will go to over $6.00 per gal, interest rates will raise to levels not seen since Carter and the cost of food will double.
Wake up America, this man has messed this Country up and it’s going to get worse if he is re-elected.

Inflation is no longer an option. The fed has kept interest rates artificially low for far too long and have continued to pump billions of dollars into the economy. They just did it again the other day. The more dollars in the system, the less those dollars are worth and the rest of the world knows it. That’s why oil went up suddenly. Inflation isn’t coming, it’s here.

Dog, you almost had a point, almost. Too many dollars does in fact cause inflation and accomodative monetary policy can cause inflationary pressure. We hope anyway. Where the car went in the ditch though is you didn’t separate out truly international markets from national or even local markets. Oil is a truly international market and increased demand in China and India and then to some extent Brazil is the reason oil is trending up. Then our friends in the Middle East seem to have a few political problems. That causes oil to periodically spike.

The point, it has nothing to do with our interest rates and the extension of this is we cant drill our way out of an oil shortage, China will just burn the extra oil.

So my vote would be energy policy. I think it is a bad idea to have our energy prices determined by countries that don’t seem to like us very much.

    DOGULA
YOU HAVEN’T SEEN ANYTHING YET !!!
WITH 49% OF AMERICANS ON WELFARE AND FOOD STAMPS AND A PRESIDENT LIKE OBAMA, GET READY FOR A TOTAL DISASTER. IT WILL BE BEYOND BELIEF AND THOSE WHO VOTE FOR OBAMA WILL BE THE CAUSE.

    WAKE UP AMERICA

I’M ASHAMED OF MYSELF BECAUSE I VOTED FOR HIM BECAUSE OF HIS PROMISE OF “HOPE AND CHANGE”. WELL THIS IS NOT THE CHANGE THAT I WAS HOPING FOR. AND IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE 4 MORE YEARS OF THIS AND WE WILL ALL GO DOWN THE TUBES.

IF YOU THINK THE LAST 4 YEARS WERE BAD, LOOK OUT BECAUSE THE NEXT 4 YEARS [ IF HE IS RE-ELECTED] WILL BE THE END OF LIFE AS WE HAVE KNOWN IT.

I think the most important issue in the Presidential election is the future of the Supreme Court. Two or more seats on the court will almost certainly be nominated by the next administration because of the age and health of current justices. These judicial decisions will change the course of our country for more than the next term, they will have consequences for at least the next generation of Americans. To think that the GOP that is now controlled by the far right fringe teabaggers and religious dominionist wackos would decide these things should scare any reasonable person to death. All should vote accordingly.

    JOHN

WE HAVE MORE OIL IN THE UNITED STATES THAN ALL OF THE MIDDLE EAST PUT TOGETHER. ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS DRILL.
IN 5 YEARS OIL WOULD BE AT ABOUT $25 DOLLAR A BARREL. AND THEN THE REST OF THE WORLD WOULD BE BUYING FROM US AND WE COULD DO TO THEM WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN DOING TO US BUY CHARGING THEM $100 PLUS PER BARREL. O.P.E.C. IS RUN BY THE ARABS AND THEY HATE US BUT WE KEEP LETTING THEM RUN OVER US.

    WAKE UP AMERICA.

Fairness, corruption, lobbyists, the whole game is rigged by a minority of citizens, and the peoples work is not being done.

Our government has been taken over by those that don’t have our best interests at heart, instead their own pocketbooks :(

And they constantly stir up distractions to keep us infighting, and keep our eyes closed to what they are doing.

People need to stay awake, and focused on demanding government serve you, the citizen, not corporations, and not themselves.

Dick is right on the mark… it is the choice of the future Supreme Court justices.

A NO vote on the loop road.

What is the most pressing issue of this election? Debt, the economy, unemployment, national security and defense policy, the monetizing of our debt by printing fiat money, our energy policy (or lack thereof), Obama’s embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood (the radical Islamic worldwide caliphate) while we simultaneously abandon Israel-our only ally in the Middle East, the expansion of the entitlement society, the housing and mortgage crisis, immigration and border control issues, China trade issues, getting rid of our Marxist President… and yes, the future composition of the Supreme Court. How about the very survival of our nation as a constitutional republic under which our government was established for the benefit of the citizenry, and not the other way around. Everything we said and inherently knew about Barack Obama has sadly been proven true. He absolutely is the very secretive, shady and shadowy Marxist, collectivist, statist community organizer who never held a real job until he got the hardest one in the world. Unbelievably unqualified, fiercely defiant about providing any information regarding his background, education or early political alliances (“The New Party”, Bill Ayers, etc.) and in so far over his head even a snorkel won’t help, Obama’s destiny is to retire in disgrace this January to the lap of luxury (the magnificent 35 million dollar Hawaii estate already being procured for him by his wealthy Chicagoan flacks) and bask under the tropical sun and the well-earned moniker of “Worst President Ever”. Good riddance – and for your sake- better golfing, Barack!

It is so unfortunate that our first black president ever turns out to be the most lazy, inept, destructive and incompetent one, too. Obama always craved the job and the respect it commands, he just never cared for the work of being president (he rarely holds cabinet meetings or press conferences and hasn’t met with his “Jobs Commission” in over six months). He never liked America as it was constituted, in fact, he really doesn’t like our constitution either (you know, the one he swore an oath to uphold and defend, the one he once referred to as “a charter of negative liberties”). He wanted to “fundamentally transform” America into something approximating the worker’s paradise of Cuba or Venezuela . The previous holder of the title “Worst President Ever”, Jimmy Carter, was just a simpleton, whereas Obama is actually malevolent.

If you want to know what this country would look like after four more years of the Obamanation, just look where California is right now… economically, intellectually and morally bankrupt. It is so dispiriting to watch the slow and painful death of the once great “Golden State”, but the same brain-dead leftist zombies who ruined this state (and will vote once again to raise our taxes in November and drive even more businesses from California) will dutifully vote once again for Obama. They revel in their blissfully ignorant oblivion, these multitudes of Californian sheeple, wandering aimlessly about bumping into each other while softly chanting “Yes we can… O-Ba-Ma! O-Ba-Ma! O-Ba-Ma!”… “(Four legs- good, two legs- baaaaad!”)

In 2008 they voted for Obama to prove they weren’t racists; now, in 2012 with their vote they need to prove they’re more than just gullible suckers. However, I don’t hold out much hope for them; you know what they say, “Fool me once, shame on you… fool me twice, shame on me!”

Another vote for Obama is purely a vote to commit national suicide.

How to bring more revenue to SLT is the most pressing issue in my opinion. Either add more parking meters around town, especially between Pioneer and Needle Peak on Ski Run. OR since Vail won’t negotiate the parking garage or pay tax at the Gondola – change Ski Run and Keller Roads to Toll Roads charging $1 per entry to the CA Base Lodge. You need to play hard ball with these guys. They can’t move the mountain! Just DO IT, SLT.

HEALTH CARE ….. In the last election it was Obama Care vs. McCain care. Both were flawed because it shows how much influence and power the private sector lobbyists have in our government. Both of the proposed plans still rely upon PRIVATE SECTOR FOR PROFIT HEALTH INSURANCE! All citizens must get insurance from a private company or be penalized. The insurance companies make the profit off of you and me. They control the rates and increase as they see fit.

No person can be denied. Really? How about if they make your rates so high that you cannot afford them?

If that is the case you may qualify for a government subsidized program.

My wife and I are self insured and pay over $1,000 per month insurance for a $5,000 deductible. Employers are getting squeezed as well. High cost for health care equates a higher cost of goods to cover personal or employer costs.

Until we get rid of for profit insurers and have a flat tax that pays for a single payer program such as most industrial counties of the world employ, we will continue to bleed our money away and remain the poverty stricken “middle class” that we are today.
