• Swiss Chalet restaurant in South Lake Tahoe is not closing permanently, but just for the fall. According to owner Peter Baumann, it should be open for winter business starting Dec. 12.

• The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is operating the museum in South Lake Tahoe on winter hours. It is open Saturdays from 11am-3pm. It will be closed in January to update exhibits.
