1 person dies in 2-car collision in S. Lake Tahoe

A South Lake Tahoe man was killed and two others injured in an early morning traffic collision.

A Honda Accord driven by Roberto Olazaba, 22, of South Lake Tahoe broadsided a GMC Yukon driven by Noe Corea, 26, of South Lake Tahoe, according to South Lake Tahoe police officers.

William Olazaba, 26, was a passenger in his brother’s Accord. He died at Barton Memorial Hospital.

Roberto Olazaba was at Barton under observation, according to officers. A passenger in Corea’s vehicle was treated and released from the hospital.

The accident occurred at 1:35am Dec. 15 at Pioneer Trail and Ski Run Boulevard.

Police believe alcohol was a factor.

This is the third fatal traffic accident in South Lake Tahoe in four months.

    isnt it a little irresponsible to say that w/o mentioning which drivers may have been under the influence? or was it both?
    And based on what evidence? “police believe?” that’s pretty vague no when we have medical tests to determine intoxication levels?

    isnt it a litte unfair to the folks involved to not say which driver
