Festival of Trees and Lights’ attendance, revenue spike

The fourth annual Lake Tahoe Festival of Trees and Lights is growing in multiple ways.

During its inaugural year in 2009, the festival saw about 1,800 attendees and raised more than $45,000 for the expansion and renovation of Barton’s Community Clinic. This year, the festival was host to nearly 4,000 attendees, raising more than $55,000 for the future home of Barton Memorial Hospital’s Level III trauma center.

Barton Foundation Executive Director Kindle Craig said in a statement, “Doubling attendance within four years is an amazing feat. It’s becoming a household name and family tradition for many locals and visitors.”
