Squaw giving tour of Olympic sites

Learn about Squaw Valley’s past, including its Olympic history on Jan. 20 at noon.

Local Olympic historian David Antonucci will lead a walking tour of the 1960 Winter Olympics site in Squaw Valley as part of the 2013 North Lake Tahoe Olympic Heritage Celebration.

A few of the sites are the Olympic Village Lodge (athlete’s housing), California and Nevada Welcome Centers, as well as race courses, the site of Blyth Arena, ski jump hill remnants, IBM computer building, media center, and other historic sites.

The event is free. Meet at the information kiosk in front of the tram.
