Truckee man arrested on domestic violence charge

A 52-year-old Truckee man was arrested Saturday on domestic violence charges.

Truckee officers responded to a 911 call for assistance from a female on Beacon Way on Jan. 11. She had been involved in a physical struggle with the suspect.

Police were called back to the residence the next day.

Officers contacted the original victim who reported she had been locked in a room all night by the suspect and was denied access to a phone to call for assistance.

Officers located the suspect, Douglas Fleming, hiding with their 3-year-old child in a closet. Fleming was arrested. The child was unharmed.
