• Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District has hired Sylvia Lee as a fire inspector. She was most recently with the Clark County Fire District.

• South Lake Tahoe native and 2005 South Tahoe High grad Nicole Pierini received the Dean’s Fellowship Award from Arizona State University’s school of engineering. It is only offered to top graduate student recruits.
