The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin and Heavenly Mountain Resort are offering Ski with a Ranger en Español.

Spanish Ski with a Ranger brings awareness of environmental issues to the local and visiting Latino community. The program will be offered March 13, March 27 and April 10, weather permitting. Tours are offered twice a day at 10am and 1pm.

The tour lasts approximately one hour and is open to Heavenly Mountain Resort guests who are intermediate level and above skiers and snowboarders. The tour begins near the bottom of the stairs at the top of the Heavenly Gondola. No reservations are required.

Participants will learn about the mission and role of the Forest Service in ski area management, improve their understanding of natural resource processes and issues, and learn about environmental literacy and stewardship.
