Landing gear folds up on plane in Minden
The pilot of a plane that landed without its landing gear down was not injured.
Alfred Asti, 77, landed his Piper Camanche 400 at Minden Tahoe Airport about 12:28pm March 12.
Asti told Douglas County sheriff’s deputies that his approach was high and as the plane came into contact with the ground, the plane bounced. When it bounced a second time the landing gear folded up and the plane collapsed to the ground sliding off the runway.

A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can walk away from the airplane and fly the airplane again.
