Robber makes off with money from El Dorado Savings

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen Thursday from the El Dorado County Savings Bank in South Lake Tahoe.

A man passed a note to the teller at 2:06pm March 7 that demanded the money. No weapon was visible.

He fled the Lake Tahoe Boulevard bank on foot.

The suspect is on video walking down Bal Bijou Road just prior to the robbery. He was last seen fleeing the scene behind CVS Pharmacy.

The suspect was described as a white male adult in his mid-20s, slight to average build with scruffy facial hair, and a black patch of hair on his left cheek similar to a mole.

He was wearing blue pants, black jacket with leather sleeves similar to a letterman’s jacket. He had a black hoodie, wore ski goggles and carried a Safeway reusable shopping bag.
