Robert Plant to headline High Sierra Music Fest
The 23rd annual High Sierra Music Festival announces a headliner whose legendary status is unprecedented in the history of the festival. The voice of Led Zeppelin and a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Robert Plant will appear with his latest outfit, the Sensational Space Shifters.
The band will draw from Plant’s long career and focus on his years with Led Zeppelin. With a career spanning more than 40 years, Plant is regarded as one of the most important and influential singers and artists in the history of music.

This performance will be on the first night of the Festival, July 4. The festival is July 4-7 at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy.

I never understood why we don’t have outdoor festivals like this in tahoe. There is never any jazz related shows which I would think would draw a demographic of people perfect for tahoe. Festivals like this are great events and a great draw for a community. I used to go to the Newport jazz festival back east and it would bring in a variety of people who enjoyed great music.

Because this town backwards they don’t have a fair grounds and then the noise complaints,no where to park, the list goes on.
They have to have a 10 month study, consultants fees and all the other things you gotta do, not worth the trouble,50% the roads are being bandaided with traffic tie ups. Just make the trip over there,nice area, have a good time.
If an outdoor music theater was constructed at the “Hole”, that would be a good venue, people could walk to it, lots of lodging and restaurants nearby, and noise shouldn’t be an issue, as they’ve been holding concerts 100+ feet away for years. Only problem is it’s privately owned, so we can’t make them build it, or can we?
