North Lake Tahoe casinos had a dramatic jump in revenues – 35.26 percent – in February from 2012.

South Lake Tahoe’s numbers were up, too – 7.8 percent.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board released the numbers Wednesday morning. Statewide, casinos collected $1.073 billion in gaming revenue. This is an increase of 15.1 percent from February 2012.

Casinos on the Las Vegas Strip set a single-month record with $696.1 million in revenues. And this was all done in the shortest month. The Chinese New Year being in February helped contribute to the spike.
