Two are on the east side – small spots – one south of Loyalton on TV Hill and one east of Stampede Reservoir. Two other fires on the west side near Bullards Bar are contained with crews mopping up. Bar Fire burned 15 acres and the Pendola fire 1 acre.

U.S. Forest Service crews and equipment worked the fires with assistance from North San Juan and Camptonville fire departments and CalFire air tanker drops.

Crews expect to pick up “sleeper” fires throughout the week as temperatures warm up. Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected today before tapering off through the week.
