Free fishing day in Nevada

Nevada State Parks is waiving entrance fees and the need for a fishing license on June 8 to encourage kids and families to explore America’s great outdoors.

This is also to recognize National Get Outdoors Day.

State parks with fishing opportunities include:

Washoe Lake, Sand Harbor and the Lake Tahoe backcountry (Spooner and Hobart), Rye Patch, Lahontan, South Fork, Wild Horse, Cave Lake, Spring Valley, Echo Canyon, Beaver Dam and Big Bend of the Colorado.
