Just before the fireworks were to go off in Truckee on July4 a pedestrian was hit by a bicyclist.

Petra Bakker-Borhani, 24, of Truckee was booked into jail on charges of driving under the influence.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was taken to Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee after sustaining major trauma to his head.
