That’s great that they caught 10 criminals, but what about the harrassment of at least the other 307 people who had minor infractions and hundreds more ?
I personally don’t like my tax dollars going towards these types of ramped-up police harrassment campaigns in Calif …… ( realizing this was in Nevada )

    Exactly John.

Its getting like we are living in NAZI Germany in the late 1930’s. A couple more government officials patrolling the Streets with attack dogs and the scene will be complete. OHH that’s right! The Beach on 4th of July

From what I have observed people who flippantly use the word Nazi are unintelligent and are incapable of forming opinions of their own. They just parrot some propaganda they fell for that was written by people who are playing dumb and pandering to the lowest of the lowest common denominator.

    Prove me wrong.

Umm, let me see, there is strong evidence that driving while distracted by a cell phone is actually more dangerous then DUI’s (causes more accidents and deaths); wow we all know that failing to yield has never caused an accident or serious injury and death and running red lights is simply fun so yeah there are another 100 citations of simply harassing law biding citizens who had no chance of causing any harm – yeah right.

Oh and yeah, flippantly using the Nazi card makes you as wacky as Glen Beck, check out Lewis Black’s skit on Glen Beck and see what a nut case Beck really is.

Interesting come back. I am Flippant and ignorant because I feel that enforcement has gone way beyond protect and serve the community. I was very calculating in using the Nazi example. WE are living in an increasing more restrictive police state or (Nanny State)

If you are comfortable with being stopping on the Highways to have you papers checked, good for you.

MIT, you are SO right. Stopping people who are driving unsafely and breaking traffic laws is absolutely the same as murdering over 6 million people for their ethnic background. We ARE nearly the same…. Last I checked, with the exception of cell phone driving restrictions, many of these things have been reasons for citations since the early 1900s. As a driver and as the mother of a driver, I am VERY comfortable with the police stopping unsafe drivers. She is a very careful driver and I want her to get home in the evening, not spend it in a hospital or worse, the morgue.
