West Nile virus found in parts of N. Nevada
Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus are buzzing around Northern Nevada.
Officials found the virus in Douglas County test pools. Infected mosquitoes have been found in Carson City, and Washoe and Lyon counties.
While there is no human vaccine for West Nile, horses can be vaccinated.
The best prevention for people is to apply a dose of bug juice and/or wear clothing that covers skin to avoid being bitten.
This is the second time I have seen (Bug Juice) I am guessing as an insect repellent?
i have no idea what that is, Google has no idea why it would repel Mosquito’s either.
Clue us in
Bug juice = bug spray = insect repellent in the general use of the term. There is also a brand of spray called Bug Juice.
Don’t know why but “bug juice” was used in the 1950’s as a reference for KoolAid at children’s camps.
