California Tahoe Conservancy is hosting Doggie Day at Cove East Beach on Sept. 3.

The free event is from 11:30am-2:30pm.

Trail access to Cove East beach begins at the end of Venice Drive near Tahoe Keys Marina.

There will be games, education and dog competitions. Pet owners can learn about the Conservancy’s lands and will be given an opportunity to hone their pet etiquette skills.

It’s free, but you’ll have to pay to park.
There used to always be cars parked there, people walking out to the beach, enjoying the trail. The last few times I’ve gone by there, max 2 cars. WTG, SLT.

Yep! One of my “lost” walks. Used to go there regularly. Can’t afford it one. Lost most of my other walks to Forest Service demolition.

I’m wondering just what opportunity it is that will allow pet owners to hone their pet etiquette? Are they teaching something? Not enough information to interest me in checking it out.

Is this a joke? One would think the government would have more important things to do. Can hardly wait til the next tax increase.

Can’t help but wonder if the Conservancy told the City about this. Trying to be funny, I wonder if ol’ CM Nancy might propose a per-dog charge. Not trying to be funny, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to find the city paying extra attention to parking violations during an event – after all, the whole idea is to make money, not to provide some sort of necessary law enforcement service for the service and protection of the citizens.

I think the town’s being run by a bunch of mini-Trumps.

Park two blocks away in the neighborhood. You will get a ticket before you can hit the trail!
