Deputies detonate ‘adult toy’

Instead of leaving the suspicious device in the forest, a woman living on Bella Coola brought it back to her house.

Then she called the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies from the bomb unit came to the South Shore to handle the call last week. The device was X-rayed and then blown up to destroy it.

“It turned out it was a homemade ‘adult toy’ that someone had left in the forest,” sheriff’s Lt. Pete Van Arnum told Lake Tahoe News.
