Police are not saying how much money the robber got away with.

A potential suspect vehicle was seen driving quickly away from the area of the bank. This is a black four-door dual-cab Dodge Ram pickup with a tool box in the bed. The estimated year of the truck is 2000-2005. This vehicle turned westbound on Lake Tahoe Boulevard away from the bank.

The suspect appears to be a white male adult in his 50s, approximately 6-feet-2-inches-tall, weight proportionate to height, wearing a beige baseball cap, a short-sleeved plaid button down shirt, khaki cargo shorts and flip flops.

If you have any information, call the police at (530) 542.6100.

Which El Dorado Savings? We’ve got 3 of them.

There is only one on Lake Tahoe Blvd!

True, Robert. But all 3 are close enough to Lake Tahoe Blvd that you could see if he turned left onto that road. It’s a LONG street. I’ve found out through other sources since then which one it was.

Really, how can you identify anyone from that photo. Is the photo imaging software that the South Lake Tahoe PD has that antiquated that they cannot produce a higher quality image than what is presented here? I am sure the image from the bank is of higher quality. Unfortunately, there has been a spree of seemingly unrelated unsolved crimes recently which the public has been presented with poor quality images that they are asked to help identify the criminals from. Perhaps the local police department would have more success if they provided the public with more than vague information.

I total agree with these comments. I have 4 motion detection cameras around our property which I only spent $100 apiece for. Mostly I see coyotes and bears but when people come by I can tell when their last shave was. Come on people. Cameras are a great deterrent and maybe if the potential robbers saw some better images they might think twice about robbing the place. This last robbery they have a straight-on face shot and it’s useless. A better image and he would probably be in jail by now.

Same build and look as the guy who robbed Bank of the West in Kings Beach! Anyone see the connection?
