For the last two years TAMBA and the South Lake Tahoe BMX Association have been in talks with South Lake Tahoe officials about creating bike park in Bijou Community Park.

After initially getting the green light to move forward, there have been many hurdles.

The city would like the bike park be included in a Park, Trails, and Recreation Master Plan currently being completed by an independent consultant.

There is a focus group meeting open to the public on Aug. 22 from 7-8:30pm at Lake Tahoe Airport.
