Stateline casinos do well in July
Stateline casinos brought in more money in July compared to the previous year, which is the opposite of what happened overall in Nevada.
Statewide gaming revenue dropped 8 percent, according to the Gaming Control Board. Nevada brought in $925.7 million this July, whereas in 2012 the figure was $1.005 billion.
On the South Shore the casinos’ take of $32 million was an increase of 9 percent. July is often a good month for Stateline because of the Fourth of July holiday and American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament.
