TRUCKEE — A Truckee woman who struck a pedestrian while riding her bicycle – causing injuries leading to the man’s death – will not be charged.
Nevada County Deputy District Attorney William Cornell has determined the findings in the case do not support filing a criminal manslaughter charge, according to a spokesperson.
The bicyclist, Petra Borhani-Bakker, 24, who was arrested on suspicion of riding under the influence of alcohol following the July 4 accident in Truckee, also will not face that charge, the district attorney’s spokesperson said.
