• The California Senate on Sept. 10 voted 37-0 to approve SB630, which ratifies the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency’s bi-state Compact. It is now on Gov. Jerry Brown’s desk.

• Sweetwater String Band will be at Divided Sky in Meyers on Sept. 21 at 9pm. No cover charge.

• Tahoe Rim Trail Association is having an open house Sept. 26 from 4-6pm at 128 Market St., Suite 3E, Stateline.

• Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has a new website.
