The landmark Cecil’s Market on Highway 50 near Stateline existed from the 1930s to 2001.

Today the market is located in the succeeding Heavenly Village complex.

The dirt driveway adjacent to the right of the original Cecil’s led to Jack Van Sickle’s Stateline Stables, also serving as the entrance to the original Tahoe Drive-In Theater until 1956.

newThe driveway later became Park Avenue. That section of which now is named Heavenly Village Way at the stoplight where Cecil’s stood for so long (2002 photo by me).
