JACKSON — Employees at the Jackson Rancheria Casino will soon have a starting wage that is $2 higher than the statewide minimum of $8 per hour.
The Indian casino, owned and operated by the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians, announced that in January, pay for its employees will start at $10.60 per hour.
The raise will mean an increase of nearly $5,000 a year for several hundred employees currently making the statewide minimum wage of $8 per hour.
