Phone scam targeting N. Nevadans
Scam artists are calling people in Northern Nevada claiming they are with the Professional Firefighters of Nevada, and then are asking people to send money.
This group does not solicit money via telephone.
The group does have a coats for kids campaign going on now and also does a boot drive for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
List your phone numbers at donotcall.gov to reduce some of these calls. You also may submit a Complaint when someone calls in violation of the law.
