This has been a pretty amazing, news-filled year, but we think #1 must be the meaningful progress on “The Hole”. The Chalet Project is moving along, with hopefulness.

Thank you Lake Tahoe News for continuously keeping us in the loop.

The year started big with Gino DeMattoe going to Federal Prison and that saga coming to a close. The big hole restarting was great for the region. Paid parking was remains a hot topic and will for the future.

If you count the number of comments that a news story generates, Paid Parking has been the most talked about in 2013 and that will likely continue when the signatures start being collected for a ballot initiative that would repeal parking meters.
Many stories LTN reported on in 2013 were important and newsworthy, but paid parking struck a nerve in the community.
