It’s going to take a while for people to get to and from Lake Tahoe tonight.

There was a single-vehicle accident on Highway 50 near Kyburz about 4:30pm Jan. 31 that had the highway closed for two hours. One-way controlled traffic started moving about 6:45pm.

California Highway Patrol told Lake Tahoe News the vehicle was headed west toward Placerville. Details of the accident have not been released.

A patrolman said there were multiple occupants who sustained major and moderate injuries.
