edc• The Economic Development Division of El Dorado County is having kickoff for the Web Portal project on March 5 from 9am-noon in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, 330 Fair Lane, Placerville.

• While Colorado legalized marijuana, it’s not allowed on most ski slopes. But it would be hard to know it based on the segment below from Inside Edition. After it aired Vail Resorts and the U.S. Forest Service confirmed that a number of structures associated with prohibited marijuana use and constructed illegally on USFS lands within the permitted boundaries of the company’s four Colorado resorts were destroyed.

    We had to pass up a gondola car once because of the dense marijuana smoke. not cool. Defensive skiing would be difficult if you have an impaired skier coming down the hill above you. I hope the ski resorts are vigilant & assertive in getting these guys off the slope.
