STHS wrestling coach sidelined

South Tahoe High School wrestling coach Ryan Wallace has recently been bound to a wheelchair because his prosthetic leg has been a major source of trouble for a long time.

He had his right leg amputated after he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone disease.

The wheelchair is preventing him from being able to coach. A fund-raising campaign is under way to help Wallace get a new leg. The goal is to raise $25,000.

Ryan has been on outstanding asset to the South Tahoe Wrestling program when he started in 1994. His development as a wrestler and wrestling coach has been admired by those who lace up the shoe laces and give it their all on the mat. I encourage every one to support Ryan so he can get back to doing what he does best – coach wrestling and develop our youth into outstanding men and women.
