The Legislative Commission, without discussion, unanimously approved the rules written by the state Division of Public and Behavioral Health.

Steven Cooksey of MedMen, a consulting firm on marijuana issues, said it may be late this year or early 2015 before marijuana is available for sale.

What would be so bad about Nevada legalizing pot? Are the powers that be afraid it will cut down on teen cigarette and meth consumption?

For forty years any kid that wanted pot could get it. The claim that these worthless laws accomplish anything but employing cops and the like is a joke.

Kathy, seems you were smoking pot while writing your blog message.
those that need pot for medical use are most likely in the minority. I know people with medical use cards that only have cramps once and awhile. Anyone can get a medical use card, anyone. I just personally dont want to smell it being grown in my neighborhood. Smells like a friggin skunk farm. I also want it to be treated like all other substances when it comes to driving and putting others at risk. Ive smoked plenty of pot and there is no way that someone smoking it is not at risk driving down the road. Sorry but I dont buy the safety thing and im hopeing my son will turn his nose up at pot and all other kinds of drugs.

My son is 11 and does not smoke pot. I know for a fact. I dont smoke cigarettes because they stink and I dont even want to be around people who do smoke because they stink. Your obviously tainted by your over consumption of whatever it is your smokeing…
