Possible political payback by indicted supervisor

By George Warren, Channel 10

As El Dorado County Supervisor Ray Nutting prepares to stand trial next month on multiple felony charges stemming from his alleged misuse of state grant money, he’s apparently found time to target the two elected officials who put him in the predicament.

Two candidates filed papers this week to run against El Dorado County Auditor-Controller Joe Harn, who first called attention to the irregularities, and District Attorney Vern Pierson, who obtained the indictment. Friday was the deadline to file.

Neither county official has ever been challenged in an election before and they say the two campaigns have Nutting’s fingerprints on them.

“This is political payback because the district attorney and I have done our jobs. That’s all it is,” Harn said. “Ray Nutting is looking for county officials who won’t call him out when he improperly obtains the public’s money.”

Joe Harn is being challenged & hopefully ousted because of himself, nothing else and he knows it. Joe’s assertion he’s “never been challenged” in an election before sounds like the bully he is.
The reason Harn is being challenged is because of the bully tactics that Harn uses to harass EDC employees. Many are terrified of Harn’s wrath that occurs just during day to day business. Hopefully he is voted out and he can stop blaming others for being challenged, try looking in the mirror. Bullying in the workplace isn’t and shouldn’t be tolerated, unfortunately if its from someone elected you have to wait for the next election, which shouldn’t be the case.

A few videos can help one Imagine what the employees have gone through and the cost to the taxpayers of this tactics.

Or maybe its the bonuses that some of these EDC elected have been getting?

Nutting’s actions look really desperate and the Nutting gang would try anything to cover his trail and these “candidates” look like just another desperate move after endless trial delays and appeals which look staged to buy time. When the verdict comes in the truth will be known and when he is found guilty justice will be done.

I had an experience with Mr. Harn that I will never forget or forgive. Ever. My experience was devastating to me personally. And it was just a CYA for him…

People should always beware of “sources” and suspect websites and who are connected to them. The real story about pay for elected department heads is past people on the BOS voted in all kinds of pay increases and bonuses. These huge pay structures were recently corrected by the BOS and large pay cuts are the result. Some department heads were being paid nearly twice that of other counties and the Sheriff among others was no exception. It is a non-issue now. Allegations of wrongdoing are easy and some keep floating them around and not proving any of them.

Interesting enough, the above article doesn’t even include the news10 story that said the candidates running against the incumbents are suspect. One looks like a bankrupt, bankrupt attorney and non-county resident, the other was an inactive CPA with questionable connections and associations. Both appear to be not only grossly unqualified on any level, but it looks like the District Attorney should begin a conspiracy investigation to see who is involved with these two and what election laws they have conspired to violate.
