Stateline casino profits surge in March
Credit Stateline’s casinos for pushing Nevada’s gaming revenues into the win column for March.
The South Shore casino take was up nearly 32 percent in March compared to 2013, with profits of $14.93 million.
Statewide gaming revenues were up 7.6 percent compared to the prior year at $982 million. A lot of this had to do with a surge in baccarat.
Reno casinos didn’t fare as well, with a decline of 10.6 percent.

Supposedly orientals play baccarat. So, does that mean while the kids hit the slopes, adults hit the casinos, ………..Adult orientals hitting the slopes and casinos?
With all due respect, that may be the most ignorant comment I’ve ever seen on this site.
Ignorant in what way.
“Baccarat is the most important game in the world’s biggest gaming destination, Macau,”

Maybe we need a $30,000 marketing study but I would bet we had much better snow this March than last March. Last year we received the majority of the snow early this year what snow we received came late.
Perry, you hit it right on the head.
It’s the Asian interest in baccarat and a few other favored
games that drove up this percentage
and maybe their kids are skiing, but I wouldn’t know that.
