Stateline casino profits surge in March

Credit Stateline’s casinos for pushing Nevada’s gaming revenues into the win column for March.

The South Shore casino take was up nearly 32 percent in March compared to 2013, with profits of $14.93 million.

Statewide gaming revenues were up 7.6 percent compared to the prior year at $982 million. A lot of this had to do with a surge in baccarat.

Reno casinos didn’t fare as well, with a decline of 10.6 percent.
