• There will be a water wise landscaping event at South Tahoe PUD’s office (1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe) on June 11 at 6pm. This free workshop will include interactive activities on efficient irrigation, landscape design, landscape styles, and more.

• The 64-foot Tahoe Gal paddle-wheeler based in Tahoe City turns 10 this year.

• On June 7 from 10am-3:30pm is the 5th annual Lake Tahoe Bird Festival at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center off Highway 89 on the South Shore.

• In its fourth year of hosting the Charity Golf Tournament at the Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing, the High Fives Foundation raised nearly $30,000 to benefit athletes recovering from life-altering injury in the winter action sports community.

• Traci Des Jardins, former executive chef at Manzanita at the Ritz-Carlton at Northstar, has opened the Commissary at the Presidio on San Francisco. Reylon Agustin, previously the opening chef de cuisine for Des Jardins at Manzanita, is the executive chef.
