Are these the same officers that have been seen in uniform during work hours passing out campaign literature against Measure P? The rumor is that the union reps and city manager have advised these employees that their benefits are on the line if Measure P passes.

Good job, Hogan, repeating an unsupported rumor in order to denigrate a group of law enforcement officers being honored for their service to the public. You probably don’t realize it now, but you might be in need of their assistance one day, if your mother ever lets you out of the house.

Congratulations to these officers and staff. We are very fortunate to have a police department that focuses on real crime with real victims. Furthermore, it has been my experience that the SLTPD officers show genuine respect for the people they serve. Best of all, our police have a truly amazing record of catching murderers, thieves and violent criminals. Thank you SLTPD for all you do to make this community safe.
