The Meyers mother-daughter team of Patricia Summers and Kelly Schweim took first place for their jewelry design in the California State Fair.

While the fair is not until this summer, the competition is in the spring.

The division they won is Jewelry and Bead Art. It includes stringing, micro macramé, and other wearable art techniques.
