ltcc• On June 24, the Lake Tahoe Community College board of trustees is expected to vote on a new mascot; it has been the kokanee and is proposed to be a coyote. The colors of green and white may be expanded to include blue.

• Roots & Wings Preschool at Kahle Community Center in Stateline has been recognized as the highest rated preschool in Nevada with a five-star rating.

• Throughout June and July, adults and children with Medi-Cal will be able to see a dentist in South Lake Tahoe.
